Outline

The goal of this study is to establish a new method for inducing the phonon drag thermopower at room temperature. Here I design the low-dimensional polaron, which originates from the interaction between electron and phonon, at the strained heterointerface and superlattice of transition metal oxides. In this way, I will realize the 10-fold enhancement in thermoelectric figure of merit, leading to the thin-film device for the application to driving power source of sensors.
