- [Masahiro Nomura] Creation of thermal phononics and its application to thermoelectrics
Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Micro/Nano Methods, Institute of Industrial Science,
The University of Tokyo
Associate Professor
We will develop thermal conduction control technology based on the wave nature of phonons and highly efficient thermoelectric materials with low environmental load. We endeavor to create novel technology by hybridizing thermal phononics and multiscale hierarchical architecture design rule. This research activity will pioneer a new research field in thermal conduction engineering and contribute to creating game-changing and practical energy harvesting technology.
