Outline

In this project, we develop an integrated approach, combining single-cell imaging and optogenetics, which enables us to reconstitute and visualize oscillatory gene expression in a precise spatio-temporal manner. We will apply this novel technology to elucidate the functional significance of gene expression dynamics in the process of cell-to-cell communication and cellular decision making.
