Outline

The objective of this research is to regulate living cells by overcoming the limitations of physiological cellular functions through photo-thermal conversion. In order to achieve this objective, I plan to develop a novel microscopic system for visualization and control of the local temperature at the single-cell level, thus facilitating optical manipulation of biomolecular and cellular functions. This proactive usage of the potential abilities of cells will lead to the next-generation light therapies.
