In this study we construct novel information technologies to promote the drug discovery strategy “Ecopharma” that discovers new indications of approved drugs. In recent biomedical science, a variety of large-scale data for genes, proteins, compounds, drugs, and diseases are becoming available. Based on the datasets, we develop machine learning methods to predict new drug indications for various diseases and the associated therapeutic target proteins. The proposed methods are expected to dramatically reduce the cost in terms of time, risk and expenditure toward the achievement of high-speed and energy-saving drug discovery.
