Outline

The “phase problem” is a central theme in crystallography that occurs when crystal strctures are retrieved from their diffraction data. Herein, a number of mathematical and theoretical challenges remain unsolved, hence further contributions from mathematics are demanded for more rapid and reliable automatic structure determination. In this research, we propose a theory to resolve the crystallographic phase problem, and develop software to execute the core process of the analysis so that the efficiency of the theory is clearly presented to researchers in experimental science.
