Outline

Mechanical properties of a cell including elasticity, surface tension, etc., could be regarded as one of the cellular phenotype. In this study, a high-throughput microfluidic device for quantitative measurement of a single cell deformability is developed and a novel single cell diagnostic platform is established. This powerful technique will provid information on mechanical property of a cell which is a promising parameter as well as the exisiting biochemical biomarker to analyze heterogeneous cell population.
