Outline

The aim of this project is to establish a single cell proteome profiling method and then unlock the mysteries of cellular heterogeneity. I will develop an ultrasensitive Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system and a sample preparation method which can minimize sample losses to achieve single cell proteome profiling. Furthermore, dynamic properties of protein networks will be analyzed based on proteome profiles of many single cells. Finally, the accumulated data must unveil the mechanisms of cellular heterogeneity.
