Outline

Membrane proteins play an essential role for cell function and interaction with extracellular environment. In order to understand the function and character of single cell, it is required to exhaustively analyze membrane proteins in individual living cells. In this project, by maximally enhancing spatiotemporal resolution of atomic force microscopy (AFM), I will try to develop new imaging techniques visualizing the localization, structural change and interaction of membrane proteins in individual cells.
