Outline

The development of separation and transport materials are now important to construct society that utilizes resources and energy without wasting them. In this study, we create self-organized liquid-crystalline polymeric nanomaterials that have successive pores with the same nanometer-size diameters. These materials are used as membranes that purify water by selective removal of trace harmful substances and viruses. Through these approaches, we contribute to solving the problems regarding environment and life.
