Outline

This project develops computing with algorithm embedded hardware enabled by via-switch aiming at high energy efficiency with custom hardware, high design productivity comparable to software implementation and low NRE cost. Novel nonvolatile switch called via-switch significantly improves performance and area efficiency of reconfigurable chips. User algorithms are implemented as custom hardware on the reconfigurable chip, which solves Von Neumann bottleneck inherent in microprocessors.
