Outline

It is speculated that epigenome status is changed by environmental factors, including nutrition, pathogen infection, and psychological stresses, which affects disease onset. We have recently demonstrated that various environmental factors induce epigenome changes, which is maintained for long period, and in some case transmitted to next generation. In this research, we aim to clarify the mechanism by which environmental factors induce epigenome changes and to analyze the relationship between epigenome changes and diseases which contribute to develop new methods for diagnosis, prevention, and therapy of diseases.
