Outline

The key technology to building a topological quantum computer using Majorana fermions will be developed and established. This includes 1) Exploration of innovative materials having topological electronic states, 2) Creation of a 2D qubit structure hosting Majorana fermions, and 3) Development of techniques to detect and manipulate Majorana fermions in the 2D qubit structures.
