Outline

In order to improve the diagnosis and clinical treatment, it is very important to understand the state of the tissue. To understand it, an analysis of gene expression of single cells as well as their position within the tissues is necessary. In this study, we propose a method to analyze gene expressions and positions of each single cell for thousands to tens of thousands of tissue cells simultaneously by using a technique of randomly barcoded mRNA from a single cell. This method can provide novel means of determination of diagnostic criteria and identification of the drug target for tumor cells.
