United States of America <Cooperation with Each Country>

1)Field of Cooperation - Science and Technology for a Secure and Safe Society

This is science and technology to tackle natural disasters, crimes, terrorism, infectious diseases, social weaknesses, and so on. From 2004, research cooperation with the U.S. promotes research exchange projects relating to the “Critical Information Infrastructure Protection” that is especially important to society in order to cope with the problem of cyberterrorism, which has become striking in recent years as a consequence of the development of the information society. From 2007, "Advanced Sensor Technology" is promoted in this program, which has recognized as the one of preventive technologies against natural disasters and technology for better quality of life in the aged society. From 2008, "Robotics Technology" is also implenented in the program.
