At Akihabara station take a train bound for Tsukuba (the fastest train takes about 45 minutes). From Tsukuba Center (the last train stop) go to a bus stop number 6 and take a bus toward "Tsukuba University Center" or a "Tsukuba University Circular" route (a clockwise or a counterclockwise one). Take off at the bus stop "TARA Center" or "dai-ni-area-mae."

From Ueno station it takes about an hour and from Mito station about 50 minutes.
At Tsuchiura station take a bus bound for Tsukuba Center. At Tsukuba Center transfer to a bus bound for University of Tsukuba and take off at the bus stop "TARA Center" or "dai-ni-area-mae."

From the Tokyo Station at Yaesu South Exit take a bus bound for "University of Tsukuba." A bus ride takes about 75 minutes. Alternatively take a bus bound for "Tsukuba Center" and transfer to a local bus at a bus stop number 6 and take a bus toward "Tsukuba University Center" or "Tsukuba University circular (clockwise or counterclockwise). Take off at the bus stop "TARA Center" or "dai-ni-area-mae."

Take the Joban Expressway and at Tsuchiura lC turn left toward Tsukuba. On a county road's and highway's 55 intersection turn right (toward Tokyo) and head north. Next turn left at the Tsukuba Center entrance (about 8.5km from Tsuchiura IC).
