Outline

NEXUS is based on three pillars: (1) International Joint Research, (2) Researchers Exchange/Development, and (3) Program office.
Regarding (3), the NEXUS Program Office is aiming to promote cooperation in science, technology, and innovation, including strengthening the systems and functions of existing research platforms, established at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) within the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), and an opening ceremony was held at MJIIT on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Objectives and Activities

  • Comprehensively promote NEXUS throughout the ASEAN region
  • Support NEXUS International Joint Research, Researchers Exchange/Development as an interface for Japan-ASEAN science, technology, and innovation cooperation
  • Liaison and coordinate with counterpart organizations/agencies in ASEAN and Japan
