Message

As founder of the Japan Association for Age-free Society, which aims to build a society in which young and old, male and female are equal, one in which senior citizens are autonomous, active participants and leaders rather than passive recipients, I find the theme Redesigning Communities for Aged Society very appealing. Despite today's constant emphasis on the negative aspects of an aging society with a low birthrate, I am convinced that this project can lead to a brighter outlook for the future. As Area Advisor, I intend to work to help the research group so that it can obtain excellent results.
