Piezo-electric-field effect MQW solar cells utilizing novel materials "oxynitride semiconductor "

Abstract

Multi quantum wells (MQW) solar cells have attracted significant attention as promising third-generation photovoltaic devices, however theoretical efficiency has not achieved because of high recombination rate of photo-generated carriers. In this study, we aim to realize MQW solar cells with ultra-high efficiency and low cost by means of "oxynitride semiconductor" and "piezoelectric field effect band engineering"
