Abstract

This study aims at developing new organic thin-film solar cells with light-harvesting and energy-transferring systems. Although much recent attention is being paid to organic thin-film solar cells because of their production capability for such energy-saving processes as printing, power conversion efficiencies of the cells have been still insufficient. This study incorporates one-way energy transferring mechanisms into multilayer systems that can absorb broadband lights. This will be able to lead to making efficient use of the solar spectrum, resulting in improving the conversion efficiency.
