Theme
Knowledge acquisition from interpenetration between the models of hypothetical and real world
Finished by March 31, 2014

Abstract
Scientific knowledge is acquired from observed data by two processes; fitting a virtual world model and testing scientific hypotheses on the virtual world. Thus, the framework of knowledge acquisition is controlled by the arbitrary design of virtual world model and hypotheses. In this research, I propose a new methodology of "virtual world modeling based on hypotheses world", which designs virtual world so that the hypotheses on the model are tested with the highest power by omitting physical reality of the virtual world. I will develop a theoretical formalization and demonstrate the effectiveness in some real applications of this methodology.(99 words)
