Dynamic System of Pollen Tube Guidance

Pollen tube guidance is the important mechanism whereby plant reproduction and crop production are achieved. In this study, I aim to reveal how the attractant, its receptor, and intracellular signaling molecules are coordinated to govern the directional growth of the pollen tube at the submicron level.

This will include not only the first identification of the true attractant but also the development of novel microscopy-based techniques to study biological systems.
