Outline

Monitoring of fish population/community is indispensable for successful natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. Our goal is to develop a novel, eDNA-based method for rapid and quantitative monitoring of fish biomass, species composition and genetic structure. Our non-destructive monitoring method will enables an ecological monitoring in the sea area, such as protected area and polluted area, where direct sampling of fish is difficult.
