Outline

The aim of this project is to develop a novel approach for the construction of models for plant growth prediction with the consideration of comprehensive interactions between genome, environment and process of plant growth. In order to comprehensively investigate the interactions, we have proposed  “Phenotype Substitute for Environment (PE)” which consists of phenotype values extracted from large-scale digital images and environmental values measured by various sensors. The developed methods would accelerate our understanding of robustness in plant growth under various environmental conditions and generate advanced methods for crop breeding and cultivation.
