Outline of R&D Project

We have proposed and demonstrated intelligent systems based on high-speed image-processing technology that can process images at speeds of 1000 frames per second or greater, such as a high-speed tracking device that can capture a flying object as if it were a stationary image, and a dynamic projection mapping system that tracks a moving three-dimensional object and projects video onto it.
The objective in this ACCEL project, is to develop this technology further and establish a common basis for high-speed image-processing technology that can be applied to various uses, as well as to construct optimal systems in fields in which this technology can be utilized to its utmost, such as automobiles/transport and high-speed human interfaces, and also to show a proof-of-concept demonstration of intelligent systems that complement and expand the capabilities of human vision.
