Research Outline

A mixture of various structured storages to take advantages of their structures in addition to relational databases is an efficient information infrastructure for Big data. In this project, database processing engines that accelerate various structured storages, such as key-value stores, column-oriented stores, document-oriented stores, and graph databases, are implemented on FPGA-based platforms in order to achieve extremely high throughput, low power, and high-density implementation compared to conventional software based platforms.
