Outline

In this study , we suggest a new way to utilize natural variations of organelle genomes for plant breeding. We try to reveal organelle genomic diversity in rice, and then survey functional differences in energy metabolism such as respiration activity and photosynthesis ability. This challenge will be useful to develop new plants adapted to fluctuating environment, and to realize sustainable agriculture style saving environmental load.
