Research Outline

Ionic crystals generally possess isotropic and close-packed structures and are unsuitable for creating nano-spaces. In this work, “porous ionic crystals” will be constructed by the use of molecular ions and ion charge/site ratio mismatch. Unique adsorption, diffusion, and reaction properties will be cultivated by the utilization of ionic adsorption sites, ultra-small pores and voids, and structural flexibility.
