「あかりの良否は光源・反射材・遮蔽材のバランス」光と影が織りなす美の感動を！

本件は、光源にLED、反射材・遮蔽材に積み木を使い「照明の良否は光源とその反射・遮蔽のバランスによる」との知見を子どもたちが学ぶ、アート・サイエンスコミュニケーション活動である。あかりの行事や光の現象を見ながら旅する紙飛行機の「こーき」が主人公の題材童話は、物語のみで絵がない。物語を読んだ子どもたちが、LEDと積み木で絵を「読書感想光」として表現して完成させる。この活動は、福岡県と佐賀県の教育委員会から小学校図画工作科の教材に採用され、また山口県の長門おもちゃ美術館と福岡県の福岡おもちゃ美術館でのワークショップや、石川県の奥能登国際芸術祭＝画像と静岡県の無人駅の芸術祭での展示にも使われている。

This is an art science communication activity. In this activity, LEDs are used for light sources and building blocks are used for reflective and shielding materials, and children can learn that the “quality of light depends on the balance of light sources, reflective and shielding materials.” The fairy tale, whose main character is a paper airplane named "Koki," which travels while observing light events and light phenomena, is a story without pictures. Children who read the story complete the picture by using LEDs and building blocks to represent it as a "book report by light." This activity was adopted by the boards of education in Fukuoka Prefecture and Saga Prefecture, as a teaching material for the elementary school drawing and crafting course, and is also used in Nagato Toy Museum, Yamaguchi Prefecture and Fukuoka Toy Museum, Fukuoka Prefecture workshop, Oku-Noto Triennale, Ishikawa Prefecture=image and Unmanned Station Art Festival, Shizuoka Prefecture exhibit.
