Japan Science and Technology Agency Sakura Science Program Headquarters
On Saturday, 15 November, 2025, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), supported by the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, held the Japan–India Universities Forum at the IIT Hyderabad campus, India.
The forum this year, the fourth in the series, was held during the “Year of Science & Technology Exchange between India and Japan,” marking the 40th anniversary of the Japan–India Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement. In this landmark year, we see more and more need to promote mutually complementary cooperation by making use of the strengths of both countries in advanced technology and innovation, and to create a new value together. Under the theme, “Accelerating Japan-India Talent Circulation in science and technology collaboration,” a total of 214 participants at the president or equivalent level—145 from Japanese universities and institutions and 69 from Indian universities and institutions—gathered and made lively discussions.
