On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, taking advantage of the visit to Japan by Mr. Kei Koizumi, Special Fellow at the Center for Research and Development Strategy (CRDS)/ Former Principal Deputy Director, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) held “Science and Technology Diplomacy Roundtable” at its Tokyo Headquarters with representatives from Tokyo-based embassies and relevant government ministries and agencies. Under the theme “What actions are called for in today’s turbulent global environment?”, participants shared key discussion points from Japan’s draft 7th Science, Technology and Innovation Basic Plan along with related initiatives, and engaged in active discussions.
