On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, in cooperation with the Cabinet Office of Japan and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), held the EU-Japan Science Policy Forum 2024 at the Kyoto International Conference Center.

Taking advantage of the occasion of the 21st annual meeting of the “Science and Technology in Society forum (STS forum),” 87 key figures in science and technology policy from Japan and Europe participated in the forum, the 13th of its kind. The main theme, Towards “Transformative Science, Technology and Innovation Policies” and the sub-themes, “Research Security and Integrity for Promoting International Collaboration” and “Knowledge Valorisation: Creating Social and Economic Value from Knowledge” were discussed.
