The year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of cooperation between Japan and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and various commemorative events are being held. From August 21st (Monday) to August 24th (Thursday), the "ASEAN-Japan Innovation Week" was held in Bangkok, Thailand, with the aim of reflecting on Japan-ASEAN research and development cooperation to date and promoting further cooperation between Japan and ASEAN.

This event was organized under the leadership of Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and during the event period, various sessions, seminars, and poster exhibitions related to Japan-ASEAN science and technology cooperation were conducted.

As one of the main sessions of this event, JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) co-hosted the "3rd ASEAN-Japan Multi-Stakeholder Strategy Consultancy Forum" on the theme of carbon neutrality from August 22nd (Tuesday) to August 24th (Thursday) in collaboration with MHESI and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).
