President Hamaguchi speaks at the Euro Science Open Forum (ESOF) 2020

ESOF is organized by Euroscience, a non-profit organization that brings together individual European researchers and experts in science and society. It is a place for open dialogue and exchange between researchers, policy makers, industry, communicators, journalists, and citizens with an interest in science. Hosted by different European cities every other year, this year's event was held in Trieste, Italy, in a hybrid of real and virtual. Approximately 4,500 people from more than 90 countries participate every year.
