Report on the Sophistication of Risk Assessment Methods for Large-Scale Energy Storage Systems
Summary
The purpose of this study is to sophisticate the risk assessment methods for large-scale energy storage systems.
Based on the concept of risk symbiosis, a method to extract risks that are important not only for safety issues but also for social implementation was examined. For accident-related risks, which are of particular importance, a method for quantifying thermal runaway and fire risks was proposed using a model-based risk analysis method.
