EU-USA-Japan International Symposium on Quantum Technology

 Welcome Message

Quantum science will enable new technologies leading to increased economic prosperity, security, and quality of life. Research in this field is poised to revolutionize both our understanding of fundamental phenomena as well as the development of powerful computers, quantum networks, and sensors with unprecedented precision and modalities. The first EU-USA-Japan International Symposium on Quantum Technology 2019 (ISQT2019) will take place on Dec. 16th and 17th at the Brighton Hotel in Kyoto, Japan. The ISQT2019 will provide an opportunity to share knowledge about cutting-edge quantum technology research by inviting distinguished researchers from three regions to present lectures on their pioneering experiments and investigations, and to engage in discussions about the scientific foundations and current challenges for quantum technologies research from their complimentary viewpoints.

In addition to leading scientists discussing the future of the field, the ISQT2019 features talks, panels, and discussions diving into opportunities for collaboration. This builds upon the European Commission’s “Quantum Technology (QT) Flagship”, USA’s “National Quantum Initiative”, and Japan’s “Q-LEAP program”. This will allow the participants to highlight the most desirable areas for EU-USA-Japan cooperation in quantum technologies as the Quantum Technology and Innovation Strategy is launched at the Integrated Innovation Strategy Promotion Committee of the Japanese Government.

Looking forward to seeing you in Kyoto in December.
