The well-controlled assembly of the synthesized nanoclusters will be performed via their crystallization or by the immobilization on the well-designed surfaces, to unveil the relationship between the functionality and morphology in the assembled systems. By use of advanced analytical approaches, including transmission electron microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, photoemission spectroscopy, and high-brightness X-ray diffraction, etc., in combination with theoretical investigation based on quantum chemical calculation, we will also explore to discover the novel physical phenomena originating from cooperative effect between the geometric structure and electronic state. We will particularly focus to unravel the electronic properties of well-controlled nanocluster-assembled systems through the advanced photoemission electron spectroscopic technique in a nanoscale regime.
