Dr. Tsukamoto graduated Kyoto University in 1979 and worked Japan Storage Battery Company (GS) for 19 years. He invented prismatic sealed rechargeable battery for SONY Walkman, Li Thermal battery for Missile and self-started Li-ion program. After Li-ion program grew $500M business, he left JSB and establish a specialty battery company Quallion LLC in California for Medical, Aerospace and Military application. He received Doctoral degree from Aberdeen University Scotland and awarded International Battery and Material Association Technology Award in 2003.
