Outline

The semiconductor lasers are very important devices in the advanced photonic science, because these devices have features such as a small, high-efficiency, and low power consumption compared to the gas lasers and a solid-state lasers. On the other hand, the deep UV light is promising to large number of applications such as medical and environmental fields, sterilization, chemical analysis, and 3D printer. However, this region is unexplored region in the semiconductor lasers. In this research project, we aim to achieve this unexplored region deep UV semiconductor lasers by the understanding of the ultra-high doping and the polarization semiconductors.
