Comprehensive Study on Learning Mechanism Dependent on the Cerebellum

Research Project Outline

This project will elucidate molecular mechanisms of induction, maintenance and regulation of synaptic plasticity in the cerebellum, and analyze the role of each synaptic plasticity in learning and behavior. The research group will adopt multidisciplinary approaches using molecular, cellular and system neuroscience techniques. The project aims to contribute not only to deeper understanding of the learning mechanism dependent on the cerebellum but also to improvement of learning methods and therapy for brain damage.
