Bio-communication between "Mother and Child" for Nurturing the Brain

Research Project Outline

In this study, we aim to identify a novel mechanism that maternal substances in animals and human produce biological effects on their fetal/infantile brain and support their proper development after birth. We propose such mechanism as "biocommunication between mother and child". We also study the relationship between maternal condition and the development of child brain. Our future outcomes should contirbute to the elucidation of pathogenesis in altered brain development and to idntify protective methods for such alterations.
