Molecular Spin Quantum Computers

Research Project Outline

We design and synthesize molecules for quantum computers which use nuclear or electron spins as qubit and perform quantum computing experiments. We initialize nuclear spins by lowering entropy and applying efficient data compression to realize true quantum computation which does not involve exponential resource explosion. We realize 2-qubit quantum gate operation using molecular electron spins and aim at multiqubit system. We also study quantum data compression and interface between quantum computer and classical world.
