Development of a holographic material applicable for 3D TV

The real-time holographic material based on fast photochromism was developed. We have succeeded in achieving real-time control of the writing and erasing of a holographic grating by employing a thermally reversible fast photochromic compound. This new type of holographic material will open up an exciting new area of research in the future development of a large dynamic 3D display.
