Goal 3: Vision of Society in 2050 (Illustration)
What will society look like in 2050?
An illustrated guide on what society might look like in 2050 if Goal 3 is realized
Development through interaction
The development of AI robots will initially be human-led technology development and machine learning;
AI and robotic technologies will interact and develop, and even tually AI robots will learn, act, and repair themselves; by 2050 humans and AI robots will be inspired by e ach other to look to the future and become partners in carving out a new way of life.
Carrying out dangerous work in extreme environments and disaster sites.
Contributing to the natural science research.
The partner AI robots that grow up with owners from cradle grave and enhance the quality of human lives.
Carrying out a variety of tasks to reduce the burden and ensure safety of humans.
Realizing the affluent society by humans and AI robots.
In the same way that we have smartphones today, each and every one of us will have a partner AI robot in the society of 2050. Partner AI robo ts will be there to watch over children, learn, work, do the housework, perform hea lth
management and nursing-care, and provide a variety of support f or humans, depending on their personality and age.
It will become common that humans and AI robots work together in hos pitals and police departments. At construction sites, disaster sites, and in extreme environments, AI robots autonomously carry out tasks to ensure the safety and reduce the burden for workers. AI robots also play an active ro le in the field of natural science, collaborate with humans and advance R&D dramatically.
