Utilization of Containerized Seedlings for the Cost Reduction of Afforestation
Summary
The production cost of wood mainly consists of afforestation costs and cutting costs. The afforestation cost depends greatly on seedling production method. The afforestation processes include seedling production, planting, and weeding.
Most processes are hard to be automated and cost reduction. Utilization of containerized seedlings can be cost reduction and effective for making seedlings and afforestation such as planting and weeding. We developed the method of containerized seedling production and planting. And the high growth rate and yield of seedlings are obtained. As a result, the afforestation cost can be reduced.
