Genome-wide analysis for lipid metabolite functions in axon/dendrite development
Little is known about the precise functions of lipid metabolites in nerve development although previous studies suggest potential roles of lipid metabolites in axon/dendrite development. We will use fly genetics to understand the moleculer mechanisms underlying the tempo-spatial regulation of lipid metabolisms in nervous system and their functions in axon/dendrite development. We also try to develop a novel system to evaluates the neural functions of lipid metabolites in vivo.
