YAMAMOTO ATOM-HYBRID PROJECT JST ERATO

YAMAMOTO ATOM-HYBRID PROJECT

MEMBER

The Yamamoto Atom Hybrid Project brings members of four research groups together with external joint researchers from other organizations to create innovative sub-nanoparticles by combining a wide variety of atoms. Sub-nanoparticles exhibit unusual functionalities in catalytic, optical and magnetic properties, in particular cases, in super-atomic properties, that are distinctive from that of existing elements. We aim to explore new science by interpreting correlation between atomic structure and these distinctive properties of sub-nanoparticles. We assign a staff in charge of social implementation to promote partnerships with industry in order to return profits produced from our results to society as quickly as possible.
