About Graph Mining & Web & AI Group

The last decade proved that data mining is a useful tool to handle big data. This group conducts mining of big graph data, a type of big data. Forms of data with the big graph structure vary, and its network path optimization, structural estimation, and change-point detection are closely related to real world applications. This group addresses the following problems using discrete mathematics, combinational optimization, and probabilistic methods.

1. Frequent pattern mining in big graph data

2. Community extraction

3. Relationships between patterns and social behavior

4. Pattern extraction on dynamic networks

5. Development of common platform mining technology across networks, including web structures, Twitter, and Facebook
