Outline

Based on the JICA joint research project titled “Incorporation of Hydrogen Nano-Bubble in a Water Emulsified Fuel for Emissions Reduction of Compression Ignition Engine” which is currently being conducted between Kagoshima university and University Technology of Malaysia (Assoc. Prof. Wira Jazair bin Yahya) with the previous achievements of bilateral collaborations on renewable energy, the JICA joint research will be enhanced, and the plan is experimental & numerical investigations on flow and heat transfer characteristics for microchannel hydrogen flow and bio-diesel fuel production using microchannels performed through online meetings or mutual exchanges of invitations and visits. In addition, investigation (research training) on “Improvement of biodiesel fuel with addition of waste plastic thermal pyrolysis oil” will be conducted as new joint research. The development of innovative young talents who can collaborate with others from different cultures, building long-term trust by mutual understanding between participating members, and enhancing human networks through continuous exchanges will be also conducted for the research on micro/nano scale thermal-hydraulics technology, hydrogen utilization and bio-fuel production.
