Outline
The Institute of Mathematics for Industry (IMI) in Kyushu University will accept a professor or a senior researcher from UTM (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) and plan to transfer cutting-edge mathematical science knowledge through participation in lectures and seminars in IMI and by the meeting among relevant researchers in IMI. Through this project, IMI and UTM will also deepen mutual understanding of the research status, including issues and technologies that Malaysia and Japan are interested in for their future development by making presentations in intensive lectures and/or seminars. The Malaysian invitee plans to discuss or visit Japanese private companies to oversee the possibility of their student internship and so on at the company.
Regarding a Japanese leader, he, together with Malaysian researchers, will contribute to strengthening talent exchange by participating in Malaysian seminars, to discover the true mathematical needs and experts of the partner country in terms of academic and industrial approach and to advise knowledge and ideas to critical issues, while opening new network with Malaysian industry.
We will also aim the future brain exchange between Japan and Malaysia, in order to develop the economy and society of both sides mutually through this research collaboration endeavor.
